In August 2022, FCC memorandum 19-74A1 came into effect. This allows carriers to discontinue support to legacy telephone lines leaving many businesses worrying about if their service would be discontinued. While some may opt to discontinue their POTS offers, the FCC has not ordered the termination of POTS service contrary to what some would suggest.
